Proficiency with computer skills is a necessity in almost every law practice. Having in-depth knowledge of available hardware and software, and its functionality, enables lawyers to determine a “best fit” for their practice. One way to accomplish this is by participating in demos, typically offered both in-person and online. Once hardware and software decisions have been made and purchased, it is important for lawyers and their staff to engage in ongoing training to ensure they are producing the best end-product for their clients and maintaining the requirement of technology competence.
