2018-2019 Dues Renewal Process Open Online

Thank you for your patience while we resolve technical issues with our web portal. If you have not yet visited our website to pay your 2018-2019 dues, you may now complete your annual disclosures and pay dues online with a debit, credit card or e-check at https://e.michbar.org. You can also visit the State Bar website at michbar.org and click on "Member Area Login."

While the dues renewal process is working well for almost all of our members, a small percentage of the membership is encountering some difficulty that requires assistance from SBM staff. If you need help during any phase of the mandatory disclosure and dues payment process, please contact our dues processing team at (517) 346-6377. Even one member's frustration is something that we take seriously.

Here are some tips to help you navigate the member area portal:

If you do not know or forgot your login and password, you can reset your password immediately by selecting the password reset button and entering your P number, birth date, and county where you were sworn in. You may also reset your password by email by entering your email address on record with the SBM. We will send you an email with instructions for choosing a new password.
In order to log in to your account, you may need to upgrade your internet browser to the latest version. Some members using Safari and older versions of Internet Explorer have experienced issues with the new platform.
Passwords need to be at least 8 characters and no more than 10 characters, include at least 1 number and 1 letter, and contain no special characters. For additional dues log in assistance, please refer to the dues information page.

Once you've logged in, you may pay your dues online by clicking "Pay Your Dues Now." If you, your firm, or employer will pay by mailing a check, complete your disclosures and other information online and then print your member dues remittance document by clicking on "Pay Your Dues by Mail." If you can't print your dues remittance document but want to pay by physical check, submit a check to the address provided with your P number written on the check.

Law firms and other entities paying the dues for more than one attorney by mailing a check should ask their attorneys to 1) log in to https://e.michbar.org and complete disclosures and other information, 2) select "Pay Your Dues by Mail," 3) print the dues remittance document, and 4) provide the dues remittance document to the firm administrator for processing and for mailing with a check to the address provided.

Dues payments must be paid online by 11:59 p.m. EST on November 30, 2018, or if mailed, postmarked by November 30, 2018, to avoid a late payment charge of $50.
