The Historical Society for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the FBA Bankruptcy Committee invite you to attend a reception celebrating the publication of “A History of the United State Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of Michigan”, by Kevin M. Ball, Ph.D. Kevin’s book is an engaging and readable history and story of the Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of Michigan, of bankruptcy practice in this district and the events that shaped it, including the people, the cases, the scandals, and Detroit’s own bankruptcy case. The event will be held in the Detroit Room of the Theodore Levin U. S. Courthouse, 231 West Lafayette, Detroit. Come meet the author from 4-6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, and hear from a panel of judges and bankruptcy attorneys who lived these events. Light refreshments will be served and copies of the book will be available for purchases. The event is free.
