This year’s annual meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Miller Canfield located at 150 West Jefferson, Suite 2500, Detroit. Panel members, including former Senator Carl Levin from the Levin Center, Dean Jocelyn Benson from Wayne State University Law School, Corporation Counsel Melvin “Butch” Hollowell from the City of Detroit, and Judy Karandjeff, president of the League of Women Voters of Michigan, will discuss “Election law and Voting rights.” Lunch will be served. Space in limited and no registrations will be accepted after May 5. The cost is $40 for WLAM members and nonmembers in advance or $50 at the door, with a discounted price of $30 for law students.
