Attorney Keith Jablonski will share information from the landlord’s perspective including required lease terms, inventory checklists, security deposits, late fees, repairs, and eviction procedures. Attorney Kelly Bidelman will discuss the eviction process in representing tenants, including available defenses to evictions for nonpayment of rent, termination of tenancy and health hazards, and potential answers, motions, and counterclaims. Judge Matthew Sabaugh, 37th District Court, will present landlord tenant issues from the Court’s perspective including court procedures, repair, abatement of rent and habitability issues, and trial practice. Judge Sabaugh will also introduce attendees to the Eviction Diversion Program that operates out of the 37th District Court. Register early and save! Members pay $25; non-members pay $35.
