MENTORJET
NEEDS YOUR HELP

With generous donations from the Detroit Bar Association, the Wayne County Family Bar Association, and individual attorneys and judges, Wayne State University Law School and the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ) District 7, led by 29th Judicial Circuit Court Chief Judge Pro Tem Michelle M. Rick, are pleased to host MentorJet, on Wednesday, October 2, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wayne Law.

WHAT IS MENTORJET?

A NAWJ national program since 2010, MentorJet is a “speed mentoring” opportunity that offers law students one-on-one access to a diverse group of lawyers and judges for short, informal career-related discussions.

WHAT IS THE EVENT FORMAT?

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., each participating law student will meet with a Mentor in a timed "jet-like" fashion — think speed dating — and then rotate to the next Mentor. When the formal program concludes, all participants are invited to enjoy an informal networking reception.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

We invite you to share your experience and expertise with law students as a Mentor during MentorJet. By September 15, 2019, please RSVP to Jeannette.Heacox@3rdcc.org. If you plan to participate, please also submit your picture (jpeg) and a short bio (Word format) for inclusion in the pro-gram e-book/handout.
