Join us for the 2024 Presidential Inauguration & Awards Luncheon as the Bar bestows its highest honors and swears in the new Board of Commissioners president and officers.
Tickets are now available for the luncheon, set for noon September 19, 2024, at the Detroit Marriott Troy.
State Bar of Michigan President Daniel D. Quick will pass the gavel to Joseph P. McGill, who will serve as the 90th president of the State Bar of Michigan in 2024-2025. Other elected officers also will be sworn in: Lisa J. Hamameh as president-elect, Erika L. Bryant as vice president, Thomas H. Howlett as treasurer, and David C. Anderson as secretary.
The winners of the State Bar’s highest honors will also be recognized and receive their awards at the luncheon.
Honorees are:
- Roberts P. Hudson Award: Maura D. Corrigan
- Frank J. Kelley Distinguished Public Service Award: Edward J. Plawecki Jr., and William M. Wolfson
- Champion of Justice Award: Marilena David, Andrew Densemo, Bonsitu A. Kitaba-Gaviglio, and Erika Riggs
- John W. Reed Lawyer Legacy Award: Gary M. Maveal
- John W. Cummiskey Pro Bono Award: Wendolyn W. Richards
- Liberty Bell Award: Elaine Stocking
