Nominating Petitions Due April 30 for 2024 SBM Election

Candidates interested in running for the Judicial Tenure Commission, Representative Assembly, Board of Commissioners, or Young Lawyers Section Executive Council must submit their nominating petitions no later than April 30, 2024.

Nominating petitions are available online here. The full State Bar of Michigan 2024 Election Notice, which details vacancies and petition requirements, can be found in the March issue of the Michigan Bar Journal and is also available here.

Petitions should be submitted via email to csharlow@michbar.org.

To vote in the 2024 election, all active members of the State Bar will receive their ballots via email by June 1 and ballots must be cast online by 11:59 p.m. June 17, 2024. To ensure you receive a ballot and notifications about the election, please make sure your current email address is on file at michbar.org/MemberArea.
