State Bar of Michigan 2024 Election Information
Nominating petitions for the 2024 State Bar of Michigan election are now available. The petitions are available online here. The June election will include:
- A statewide election for a judicial member of the Judicial Tenure Commission
- Elections for 89 members of the Representative Assembly in 44 judicial circuits
- Elections for seven members of the Board of Commissioners in five commissioner districts
- Elections for 11 members of the Young Lawyers Section Executive Council in three districts
The March issue of the Michigan Bar Journal will include detailed information about the upcoming election. Candidates must submit their nominating petitions to the State Bar of Michigan between April 1 and April 30, 2024, by emailing them to Carrie Sharlow at csharlow@michbar.org.
All active members of the State Bar will be emailed their ballots to vote in the election by June 1 and must cast their ballots online by 11:59 p.m. June 17, 2024. To ensure you receive a ballot and notifications about the election, please make sure your current email address is on file at michbar.org/MemberArea.
