License Renewal Deadline for Michigan Attorneys is November 30

The deadline for the 2023-2024 law license renewal process is fast approaching. Payment must be received or postmarked by the post office by Thursday, November 30, 2023, to avoid a $50 late fee.

Renew your law license by logging in at michbar.org/MemberArea and clicking “Renew Your License Now” at the bottom. If needed, you can reset your password here. For more information about license renewal, see our FAQ here

As a reminder, this year’s license renewal includes new requirements for private practice attorneys to ensure compliance with Rule 21: Mandatory Interim Administrator Planning, which requires private practice attorneys to make an interim administrator plan and name a person with knowledge of their practice. Private practice attorneys should review these requirements at michbar.org/Rule21 prior to beginning their license renewal.
