Reimagining Courthouses Work Group seeks input

The Justice for All Commission’s Reimagining Courthouses Work Group is seeking input on draft recommendations and guidelines designed to help provide 100% access to the civil justice system in Michigan.

Feedback is welcome from all court users, including attorneys. The Work Group examined barriers in trail court operations to develop the two draft documents now under review. (Click on the titles below to read the Work Group draft documents.)

• Reimagining Our Courthouses Report and Recommendations: Includes 18 recommendations to partners in the civil justice system designed to promote a welcoming environment within the courthouse, provide easier access to records, and ensure access to language services. Give input on report and recommendations here
• Welcoming Courthouses Guidelines: Provides a menu of strategies trial courts may voluntarily adopt to make their courthouses more welcoming to visitors and litigants Give input on guidelines here
