The Prisons & Corrections Section submitted public policy position reports on the following items:
Oppose and Amend: HB 4679 Crime victims; rights; review by crime victim of certain documentation presented to parole board; allow. Amends secs. 19 & 21 of 1985 PA 87 (MCL 780.769 & 780.771).  

Oppose and Amend: HB 4680 Corrections; parole; review by crime victim of certain documentation presented to parole board; allow. Amends sec. 35 of 1953 PA 232 (MCL 791.235).

Support: SB 0557 Mental health; other; certain state funds to be used to provide mental health services; allow. Amends 1974 PA 258 (MCL 330.1001 - 330.2106) by adding sec. 207b.

Support: SB 0558 Mental health; other; program to divert persons with serious mental illness from justice system to treatment; establish. Amends 1974 PA 258 (MCL 330.1001 - 330.2106) by adding sec. 207a & repeals sec. 207 of 1974 PA 258 (MCL 330.1207).
